Fish 2 Dish is the most recent blogging home of Keruko and Capt. Scadwalker. It is here that we share our fishing and cooking adventures (of which there are many). Feel free to join in, and send us a story or recipe any time to info at fish2dish dot com. We hope you enjoy!
About us/who we are:
Fish2Dish = Keruko
Please call me Keruko (not my real name.) Being neither Japanese nor located in Japan, this identity might be confusing to some. But if I told you that I used to live in Japan (for 9 years no less!), I’m sure that would clear it up.
I grew up fishing as a youngster with parents who are/were both keen fisher people and quite well-known around the traps. But as I matured (?!), I soon forgot about fishing and got around to the business of real life. I was misled!
Some time in 2005, after my return from Japan and in search of some ‘time-out’, I found myself on a boat at sea on the Great Barrier Reef for close to four months. (If you’ve never been, please do not think I am exaggerating when I say that this place is heaven on earth!) The trip rekindled my interest in both fishing and cooking (someone had to feed all the hungry anglers and crew) and life in general. Now I wouldn’t be without.
Captain Scadwalker
Again, not his real name, but an identity of his own creation.
Captain Scadwalker’s fantasy of a life on the sea started while daydreaming in the school classroom. And every chance he got before and after school (and sometimes during) he would be out and about with rod and reel in hand. His exploits are stories in themselves and possibly topics for future postings.
Now, many years later – though he is still young and youthful – he has carved out a very successful career on the water which spans more than 20 years (again, though he is still young and youthful
) Not one to toot his own horn, I can tell you that there not much to know about fishing, tackle, lures, boats and preparing and cooking fish that he doesn’t know. Feel free to ask away!

Well, Keruko and Scadrigger – another play on his name that I prefer – Goodonya for putting your combined skills out there for all to see and appreciate. So far, looks good enough to eat – keep them coming………
Well, very soon he’ll be Slimy-rigger. Hee hee
